An ex Track athlete who loves activities that accentuate physical strength, speed and power, I am intrigued by many of the circus act, like tumbling and acrobatics. I chanced upon Bornfire in one of their annual Bornfire festival many years back and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I got more involved and have the privilege to train alongside like-minded individuals in the last one year. For Cyr wheel, it was love at first sight when I saw it in one of the Cirque du Soleil’s performance.
Mechanical engineer by training, maybe it’s the engineer in me that is so mesmerized by the gyroscopic spinning of the Cyr wheel. It represents so much freedom with endless momentum, with both power and elegance weaved seamlessly into one. It’s just the beginning of the journey for me in circus act and I look forward to more fun-filled activities within the circus community.
