Since practicing with the collective/festival in 2010, I have been inspired to see how many, through the small accomplishment of juggling balls or letting a hula-hoop keep its momentum on the waist has empowered individuals to set tougher challenges for themselves in their daily lives.
Through my work in theatre and circus, I saw an immense potential that performing arts has to empower and inspire people. Circus is often seen as a performing art, where clowns and acrobats entertain the crowds with glee. But the Bornfire collective endeavors to share the joy of such practice with as many people they encounter.
